When you write a book and it is published, doors open for you. I know this because not only am I a ghostwriter / editor, but I have written multiple books of my own. Acting as your ghostwriter means that I organize the ideas and edit the words that are bubbling up in your mind. Together, we will create a manuscript that will open those doors for you.

Authoring Experience

Successful ghostwriter / editors specialize in a particular area. I work on non-fiction for the technology marketplace. Why? Because I also have expertise in a number of technology fields. I have programmed, tested, and used cyber-security, user interface, natural language processing, debugging, programming language compiler, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and parallel computing software.

I may not be an expert in your area today. However, given the breadth of my background, I can learn enough to ghostwrite your ideas into a book that will make you proud.

I’m Robert Metzger. I ghostwrite / edit books about technology.
I have authored or co-authored three books of my own. They were published by well-known firms: Prentice-Hall, MIT Press, and Elsevier. If you are going to pay a professional to ghostwrite your book, you should expect that the writer has been through the authoring process several times themselves.

My experiences taught me where common difficulties occur in writing books. Read more about my authorship experiences.

Applying Technology in Editing

Today, you can give voice commands to your phone, and it “understands” and executes the relevant programs. So, you shouldn’t be surprised that researchers have developed programs that analyze the meaning of a written text. These programs identify parts that are ambiguous or have other readability issues.

I developed my own Natural Language Processing programs for my editing work. Read more about my use of advanced technology in the editing process.

Management Experience

Writing a book is a bigger project than most people realize. If I act as your ghostwriter, we will have dozens of hours of interviews. They will all have to be transcribed and organized into a framework. There will be drafts, revisions, and more revisions. In a technical work, I must find quotes, check sources, locate photos, and sub-contract diagrams to a graphic designer.

Writing a book is almost as much a management effort as it is a creative effort. Read more about my project management experience.

Easily Understood Process

Collaborating with a ghostwriter requires extra steps that aren’t needed when you write a book yourself, or even co-author a book with another person. Some people find the process of creating a publishable manuscript mysterious, or messy, or even intimidating.

If you are considering working with a ghostwriter, you should know what is involved before you get started. Watch a series of short videos that explain how the ghostwriting process actually works.
